Enzo Jannacci - Sei Minuti All' Alba (1966)
One of the most underrated Italian authors, sharp, ironic, comic and tragic, very tragic but always ingenious. Here one of the firsts works. texts that blend tradition, culture and history of our country , reflects a deep knowledge of the past and times to come. Sei minuti all' alba (titletrack) is the story of one of those "defectors's Sept. 8, Soldato Nencini speaks about the struggle between north and south. Faceva il palo shows how to concentrate theatre, cinema and singing. The melting stories of Dona che te durmevet e Ho visto un uomo and the totally crazy pre Dirge drums and Calexico flavour L'appasionata, with extraordinary vocal and orchestra. Must ear, play loud.

"EARL" /// Music Video. from AG Rojas on Vimeo.
Earl spits raunchy, violent, occasionally juvenile lyrics that fall well into NC-17 territory. Add to that a video as disturbing as anything in Larry Clark's oeuvre
featuring teens overdosing on a concoction of malt liquor, weed, codeine and cough syrup - not to mention a scene or two of self mutilation - and the only thing preventing this kid from generating a perfect storm of parental outrage is any sort of mainstream exposure. et past the shock of hearing a 15 year old rhyme about sodomy and murder, however, and there's a surprisingly competent emcee to be found. As he matures and learns the value of subtlety (something sorely lacking on his mixtape, for example, which includes tracks named "epaR" and "Kill"), I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more from him.

Yellow Ostrich - The Morgan Freeman EP (2010)
Inspired by Morgan Freeman's wikipedia page. Made by Alex Schaaf, is an emotional exploration of (Schaaf’s?) feelings about the real-life controversy, that ends with the line “Morgan, I think no one understands you.” The Morgan Freeman EP is six tracks of lo-fi folk-pop; glitchy and driven by primitive beats, and ultimately sustained by good songwriting… enjoyable regardless of one’s post-modernist tendencies.

Papa M - Hole Of The Burning Alms
Hi, no complains, i'm back. A 2004 David Pajo collection.
Where Whatever Mortal was an eclectic collection of traditional folk songs and original compositions highlighting Pajo's terrific guitar skills and strong voice, Hole of Burning Alms tends more toward Pajo's post-rock past and features almost no singing. "Last Caress," a cover of the Misfit's classic, is the first song on the album on which Pajo sings and, according to the liner notes, inclusion of a 16-minute version of "Turn Turn Turn", sans vocals recordere till the end of the tape. Awesome

The cover sucks. Only the cover. " .....are incredible at forcing the listener to concentrate on a singular thought, pattern, or sound using effective repetition while completely avoiding tediousness. Try, Try, Try.
